The Crime Did Not End At The Right Leg Fracture: Cellulitis

Initially, cellulitis was accompanied with calf muscle cramp. Later the cramp and the pain associated with it disappeared, however the cellulitis does not appear to recover or recover properly, swelling was quickly became worse after a short recovery while traveling abroad and was sustaining and not fading. One risk of complication for Cellulitis is DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis – i.e. blood clot that might migration to other locations in the body and became life-threatening. Therefore some ER Visits was for the ultrasound scan for DVT.

12/3/18 Episode – Left Leg Cellulitis And Cramp located at the calf muscle

I was sent to the ER (due to freezing cold; the leg pain is very minor, skin reddish and swelling also minor); however after I left ER within a day the cellulitis exploded into a terrible condition as those photos are showing. Those days I happened to be working on a part-time Job and immediately after I finished that job I was prompted to visit the ER again on 12/15/18 after I was warned the risk of DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis).

Recent Episode

The ER visit was prompted due to the burning of cellulitis to other areas of the left leg and the expansion of swelling to the right leg. Photos were not taken on the onset day and/or on ER day due to cell phone battery issues. After ER, the condition did not further worsen perhaps because the ER doctors suggested to see a vascular specialist as what had happened after I saw a dermatologist for the skin itch. Both oral and topical medication were not taken for long. On 3/9/19 traces of cellulitis can still be seen toghether with the dryness of the skin (see the patched skin texture and the color of the scar areas on the calf area.

3/9/19 photo: front, flank and back (calf muscle area): the bloody spot and dot scar  looks similar to those after scratching when skin itch was hard to resist.
